STEP BY STEP

TO OBTAIN THE FLORIDA LICENSE

1.  This is the first step, if you have not already done so, register in the Pre-License Course 63 hours today!

2. The DBPR recommends that FINGERPRINTS at least five (5) days are taken before applying for a license of Real Estate.

If you live in Florida,

  • Log in to the Pearson VUE website.
  • Select “Schedule a New Appointment” (first green option from left to right).
  • Pick Your Agency Name drop-down list, in this case used: DBPR – Real Estate Sales and Brokers and press Go.
  • Enter your Zip Code to show you the closest offices where you can take your fingerprints. Select the agency that suits you, choose the day and time of your appointment and press “Continue”.
  • Pay and attend your appointment on time, arrive 15 minutes late will make you lose and will have to schedule another appointment.

 

If you live OUT of Florida,

  • Log in to the Pearson VUE website.
  • Select “Register for Fingerprint Card Processing Service” (second option green from left to right).
  • Pick Your Agency Name drop-down list, in this case used: DBPR – Real Estate Sales and Brokers and press Go.
  • Complete all requested demographic information marked with an asterisk (*).
  • Once you have entered the information, select “Send” at the bottom of the page and you will be provided with a verification page. You should verify that all the information provided is correct and that they are being printed to the correct agency.
  • If everything is correct select “Go” at the top of the page and you have completed the entry of the necessary demographic information.
  • Choose your payment option and then “Select”. At this point you can enter the information from your credit/debit card or e-check information.
  • Print the confirmation sheet.
  • By regular mail, you will get a blank card with space to put your fingerprints, it is advisable to take it to a police station or a bank that has the ink to print fingerprints.
  • Send the cardboard along with proof of payment of fingerprints to the direction they tell.

NOTE: Do not forget that you must include a copy of the payment confirmation page on the envelope with the printed fingerprint card.

Failure to follow these instructions or do not make the payment, will result in your fingerprint card will be returned and the processing of their fingerprints is delayed. To check the status of your card, please call 1-800-528-1358.

3. You can fill out the ONLINE application (recommended) and pay online using a credit or debit card, you can also pay with an electronic check. The license fee may vary, but currently it is $ 83.75.

4. Register at PEARSON VUE to take the State exam. It can be done via Internet, at this link (https://home.pearsonvue.com/fl/realestate) You can also make an appointment by phone at 1-888-204-6289 or 1-888-204-6230.

5. Do not forget to review before the exam. Pass the exam and get your License. Remember that you can request the REVIEW of your exam, if it does not pass the first time. You will have an excellent opportunity to understand how the questions and answers that are expected of you have been written.

6. You will receive a License with INACTIVE status. To activate your license in Florida, you must put it with a Broker, if you wish, we can activate it with an annual payment of eighty-five dollars ($ 85).

7. You already have your FLORIDA License, CONGRATULATIONS !!!!

TO OBTAIN THE GEORGIA LICENSE

8. Request Certification of your License in Florida online. Login with your user and password in www.myfloridalicense.com, when you enter click on your license, in the menu that is displayed on the left click on the option “Complimentary License Certification (FREE)” fill in the information requested and wait for your certification in your email address, from where you can save and print it to be sent, along with the rest of the documents to the GREC.

9. Request your criminal record in the State of Georgia, at any police station. (It costs about $ 10 to 25 depending on the police station). It is not required to be notarized.

10. Fill out the “GREG RECIPROCAL” application and send a MONEY ORDER (do not accept personal checks) with the “Fees” currently $ 170 with the Florida Certification and the criminal record. You must also complete this application “Lawful Presence Verification” to verify your status as a permanent resident or American citizen. This form must be signed and sealed by a notary. 11. Wait for your Georgia License to return mail in about a week or two. You DO NOT need to select your Broker before applying. You will receive a license with inactive status. Once you have your license you can decide where to place it. You can also have your future broker sign the application, in that case, your license will be sent in active status directly to your future broker.
